Today's meeting and upcoming fundraisers

Parents and scouts:

Just a reminder that this week’s meeting will be held at Fryer Park – the Century Village area.  Please be there at 7 PM sharp.  We have a busy meeting. Things planned include:

1. Regular meeting plan is covering scout skills getting all patrols ready for our Camp o ree in October, [We will be having , Signaling, Orienteering  and Map and compass training as part of the meeting.]

2. Bike inspection for those that wish to have their bike looked at prior to our campout [Bike Hike] on September 27-28.  You will  need a helmet for this activity and the campout. Click here for permission slip.

3. Popcorn Kick off meeting.  Find out about all of the details of the fundraiser – first day of sale will be 9/20. SET YOUR GOAL FOR THE SALE NOW!  There will be samples.....:)

4. Hog Roast and Tag sale is NEXT Weekend!  We need your help!  Click here for the sign up sheetfor spots to help.  We also need all scouts to bring 1-2 dozen brownies or cookies to add to the meal we will be serving.  These can be dropped off either Friday night or EARLY Saturday morning.

5. TAG SALE – make sure to find – Price – and bring to the SALE items that we can have for the Tag Sale.  Things should be priced and brought to the church Friday night from 4-7 PM.  Please have your number on the items you wish to sell.  If you have any question – let Kathy Bohanan [Bohanan.Kathy@gmail.com] or me know.

Kirk Bohanan Scoutmaster Troop 136     Hey everyone! Tyler Straight here.    First of all, I'd like to thank everyone who attended my Eagle Scout Project this weekend. While we were unable to work Sunday, the crew that arrived on Saturday did a magnificent job. We painted nearly everything we needed to, and we removed an impressive amount of gravel in our small four hour window. Everyone worked hard and were respectful, and I couldn't ask for any more than that.    To continue this good work, I will again be holding two work days this weekend, Saturday, July 19th from 8:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m. and Sunday, July 20th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. behind Grove City High School at 4665 Hoover Rd. I similar equipment to last time, such as wheelbarrows, shovels, and rakes. I will not, however, need any paint...

11/6/12 Troop meeting

Scouts and Parents: Just a reminder that this week we will have three important activities going on of note. 1. Popcorn turn in is this Tuesday night. DON”T FORGET!!! Any un-sold product MUST be returned and check-in to Mr. Dool. [Any parents that can help with this activity is greatly appreciated by Rob] If you need any popcorn products to fill orders please be patient and wait until the end of the meeting to find out if it is available by someone else bringing it back as an unsold item. All money should also be turned in from items sold. Any questions – let me or Rob Dool know. 2. The week will be our Troop Elections. Very important event in the operation of our troop. Our past group of scout representing the PLC under the leadership of Hunter Stewart as the Senior Patrol Leader have done an excellent JOB! Scouts please make sure to thank them for their service. With that said, we will need to have a new group for the PLC; Senior Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader,...

MULCH Starts Friday GRRR

Dear Parents and Scouts: OK – It is time for MULCH!  I have had a good sign-up list – THANK YOU to all that are able and willing to help.  We will be starting on Friday night at 5:00 PM and finish at dark [8:30??]  We will plan to do all deliveries on Friday and if time permits [and help is there] we will do some of the smaller spreading jobs.  On Saturday we will start at 8:30am and go until we are DONE!  Meet at the Creekside Sub-Division. [use 4927 Snowy Creek Drive as a mapping address to find us] Bring a water bottle - Gloves - Knife to cut open. [rakes and brooms good to use – BUT put your name on them PLEASE ]. Looks like the weather will be good – but cool - plan accordingly.  And remember – only OLD clothes that can get dirty / stained by mulch. Lunch will be provide – but bring a side dish to share.  If parents would like to help Mr. Colborn and  Mr. Betz with set up of lunch let me know.  We are planning between 40-50 for lunc...
