PLC, Mulch, and Canada

Parents and Scouts:

Just a reminder that the PLC will be meeting this Sunday at 5 PM – at the church.  Please come PREPARED – with ideas for meeting skill instruction and inter-patrol game ideas.  Web master – and scribes should also attend.  Troop committee meeting is at 6 PM for all leaders and adult wishing to attend.


AND – for all of you  – don’t forget to mark your calendars for next weekend – MULCH!  Friday night and Saturday....

We have 4700 bags to deliver.  I will need parents help – especially we will need trucks and if possible a trailer or two.  If you can help with either of these item please let me know via email.  I will have sign up sheet at our meeting on Tuesday  night to get a good feel for those that are going to attend.  If you can’t be at this meeting please let me know before hand if you are going to be able to help next weekend.  We will also ask each to bring a side dish for our lunch next Saturday.  we will need help with preparing our lunch – Hotdogs and hamburgers.  If you can assist with lunch please let me know that as well. 

Moving on to our May trip to Canada – I will need to get a preliminary idea of those wanting to go.  Please send me a note of your intentions – scouts or parents - and if you can drive [how many seat belts as well]  This should get to me before our Tuesday meeting.  Cost for this trip is $65.00.

While we were unable to work Sunday, the crew that arrived on Saturday did a magnificent job. We painted nearly everything we needed to, and we removed an impressive amount of gravel in our small four hour window. Everyone worked hard and were respectful, and I couldn't ask for any more than that.    To continue this good work, I will again be holding two work days this weekend, Saturday, July 19th from 8:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m. and Sunday, July 20th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. behind Grove City High School at 4665 Hoover Rd. 11/6/12 Troop meeting

Scouts and Parents: Just a reminder that this week we will have three important activities going on of note. 1. Popcorn turn in is this Tuesday night. DON”T FORGET!!! Any un-sold product MUST be returned and check-in to Mr. Dool. [Any parents that can help with this activity is greatly appreciated by Rob] If you need any popcorn products to fill orders please be patient and wait until the end of the meeting to find out if it is available by someone else bringing it back as an unsold item. All money should also be turned in from items sold. Any questions – let me or Rob Dool know. 2. The week will be our Troop Elections. Very important event in the operation of our troop. Our past group of scout representing the PLC under the leadership of Hunter Stewart as the Senior Patrol Leader have done an excellent JOB! Scouts please make sure to thank them for their service. MULCH Starts Friday GRRR

Dear Parents and Scouts: OK – It is time for MULCH!  I have had a good sign-up list – THANK YOU to all that are able and willing to help.  We will be starting on Friday night at 5:00 PM and finish at dark [8:30??]  We will plan to do all deliveries on Friday and if time permits [and help is there] we will do some of the smaller spreading jobs.  On Saturday we will start at 8:30am and go until we are DONE!  Meet at the Creekside Sub-Division. [use 4927 Snowy Creek Drive as a mapping address to find us] Bring a water bottle - Gloves - Knife to cut open. [rakes and brooms good to use – BUT put your name on them PLEASE ]. Looks like the weather will be good – but cool - plan accordingly.  And remember – only OLD clothes that can get dirty / stained by mulch. Lunch will be provide – but bring a side dish to share.  If parents would like to help Mr. Colborn and  Mr. Betz with set up of lunch let me know.  We are planning between 40-50 for lunc...
