Troop Upcoming Events and Announcements

Court of Honor and bring back your equipment

Parents and Scouts:

Please note that this coming Tuesday we will hold our Fall Court of Honor.  This will be the ceremony that we recognize all advancement that has been earned since June.  Please plan to attend.  I really like to have all scouts and parents come and be a part of this event.  Your awards will there that you have earned;  so come and be recognized.

I will also ask that you look around the house to see if any troop tents or tarps are in your possession.  We have been lacking on getting this gear back and I need your help making this happen.  If you son brings home this gear after an outing the expectation is to have it back to the troop meeting by the following Tuesday.  It is your son’s responsibility to make this happen.  If they have any concerns with the gear they are to let our Troop Quartermaster know of the issue when they turn it in.  That way we have time to get it fixed and ready for the next outing.

Don’t forget to get your popcorn and SELL it.  We have several contests going on that will hopefully encourage the scouts to sell.  We have popcorn at the church that can be checked out for selling.  If you take it please work to sell it.  If it is not getting sold by your son, please bring it back so we can get it to others that may need it for their customers.

See you on Tuesday!

Sincerely,

Kirk Bohanan

Tyler's Eagle Project

Parents and Scouts: Please see the attached note from Tyler Straight – He needs your assistance on his Eagle Project.  Please assist if you can. Thanks. Kirk Bohanan Scoutmaster Troop 136     Hey everyone! Tyler Straight here.    First of all, I'd like to thank everyone who attended my Eagle Scout Project this weekend. While we were unable to work Sunday, the crew that arrived on Saturday did a magnificent job. We painted nearly everything we needed to, and we removed an impressive amount of gravel in our small four hour window. Everyone worked hard and were respectful, and I couldn't ask for any more than that.    To continue this good work, I will again be holding two work days this weekend, Saturday, July 19th from 8:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m. and Sunday, July 20th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. behind Grove City High School at 4665 Hoover Rd. I similar equipment to last time, such as wheelbarrows, shovels, and rakes. I will not, however, need any paint...
