Thunderbase and Summer Camp registration

Parents and Scouts: Please be ready to complete the registration for Thunderbase and Early Bird Summer Camp this Tuesday.  The Thunderbase fee is $50.00 for the first 48 that get their funds in.  After that it will be $60.00.  Please have this taken care of this Tuesday if you wish to go.  Also – They sent out to me a note about a 70 Yard “Slip and slide” and a “Warrior Challenge” that will be at the Saturday activity.  If you wish to play on these you must bring a swim suit. As for Summer Camp – Those that completed the first payment of $25.00 for the  Early Bird fee back in late February must have the final payment of $225.00 in by this Tuesday in order to get the early bird discount. If not then it will be a total of $270.00 and will be due before we go to summer camp  - [by June 15th.] I have include the summer camp merit badge program schedule and the Merit badge pre-reqs for those wanting to continue to plan their summer camp activity. upcoming activities

Parents and Scouts: Here are some upcoming activities that have been discussed and are needing to get finalized. 1.  April 26th – Tar Hollow State Park.  Help the Cub Scout Pack with their spring camp outing by running a compass course.  I need  4-6 scouts and at least one additional adult to go down for a Saturday event and back that evening. 2. Thunderbase 2014 – It is quickly approaching and we want you to get signed up.  Cost for those that had the early registration to me it will be $50.00, otherwise it will be $60.00.  I will have some openings from the first 48 spot that some have told me that they now cant go and I will offer that $50.00 price on a first come basis. 3.  For those not going on the ThunderBase weekend, we have an opportunity to go and do Flower Guard duty at Gantz Park on Friday May 2.  If you wish to do this please also let me know.  I need At least 2 adults to also go on this. It may or may not be a fund-raiser event....

We are starting our meeting at the fire station on 665 tomorrow

Just a reminder that we will NOT be starting our meeting at the church tomorrow night.  Instead, we will be at the fire station on Highway 665 [across from the Meijer Store].  They are going to show us how in an emergency situation, they use the “jaws of life” and cut apart a vehicle!  [sounds neat – and saves lives too!] Please try to be there by 7 PM sharp and park at either Kroger or other location if possible.  We won’t have room for all vehicles in their parking lot.  Dress for the weather..... When we get done we will car pool to the church to finish out our meeting Kirk Bohanan Scoutmaster Troop 136
