Mulch and campouts

Dear Parents and Scouts:

All I can say – is GRRRRRRRRRR.....

Get ready for MULCH!!!  We have had a great sale and now -  WE NEED YOU ALL TO HELP ON APRIL 12th!!  More on this later.[SAVE THAT DATE]  If you have orders to turn in tomorrow night please make sure to give them to me!

For our meeting tonight the pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, Robert Tolar, will be speaking further on our topic of Religion.  The discussion will be on “Wars involving Religion”  I am looking forward to a interesting discussion. – Please join us!

As for upcoming events –see the newsletter that I will have out tomorrow.  We are going camping this next weekend and we will need to do some planning tomorrow night to make it all happen.  The new scouts will be working on Totin’ Chip and Fire n Chit training.  Other scouts will work on various requirements.  If you can make it please turn in your permission slip tonight.  AND - If you have a tent or tarp from the past campout this MUST be returned tonight.

If you decide you can’t go camping this next weekend, I have another opportunity for your scouts.  This is a simple fundraiser that will involve helping setting up and tearing down tables at the church on Friday and Saturday.  If you are interested - more on this tomorrow night.

Don’t forget that Thunderbase 2014 will be this coming May 2-4.  This outing will be really neat and for those of you that have given me a notice of you wishing to attend now is the time for you to act.  Please see the permission slip also attached for that event.  We have 48 spots that have been reserved so get yours turned in.

We have a busy month so get ready and lets have some fun.

I will see you tonight!

GRRRRRRR!.

Tyler's Eagle Project

Parents and Scouts: Please see the attached note from Tyler Straight – He needs your assistance on his Eagle Project.  Please assist if you can. Thanks. Kirk Bohanan Scoutmaster Troop 136     Hey everyone! Tyler Straight here.    First of all, I'd like to thank everyone who attended my Eagle Scout Project this weekend. While we were unable to work Sunday, the crew that arrived on Saturday did a magnificent job. We painted nearly everything we needed to, and we removed an impressive amount of gravel in our small four hour window. Everyone worked hard and were respectful, and I couldn't ask for any more than that.    To continue this good work, I will again be holding two work days this weekend, Saturday, July 19th from 8:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m. and Sunday, July 20th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. behind Grove City High School at 4665 Hoover Rd. I similar equipment to last time, such as wheelbarrows, shovels, and rakes. I will not, however, need any paint...
